From February 24th - March 4th, a study group consisting of medicine students, nursing students and social welfare students (in all 19 students and four accompanying teachers) from Tokai University, Japan, visited Denmark.
With TUEC as its base, the purpose of the trip was to learn more about the Danish welfare, health, social and educational systems. TUEC had therefore arranged visits to hospitals, partner institutions (Univ. of Copenhagen, Diaconess Nursing School & Professionshøjskolen Absalon) , a care center for the elderly, Statens Serum Institute, Medical Museion, a municipal job center, a hospice, and much more to give the delegation comprehensive insight into the structure and values of Danish society. There was also free-time to pursue cultural interests by visitng Tivoli Gardens and Frederiksborg Slot in Hillerød.
