Webinar on QOL and Elderly Care

On Monday, December 14, Tokai and VIA University College collaborated on a online webinar on QOL and elderly care. This seminar was the fourth addition to the Quality of Life seminar series held to commemorate Tokai University European Center 50 year anniversary.

The focus of this event was elderly care in Japan and Denmark. Two guests were invited as presenters from Japan and Denmark. 
Professor Masaaki Abe from Tokai University looked at the characteristics of care rooted in Japanese culture, and placed the attitude of care workers in a cultural context. 
Senior Associate Professor Rikke Gregersen from VIA University presented the traditional, and evolving, Danish elderly care and the ways it supports elderly to maintain a daily life with structure, content, and quality of life.
